MIPPL has signed an MOU with Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation for Biofuel production from Jatropha during Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2005 at Ahmedabad, India. The proposed cost of the project is Rs. 35.0 crores and the project will be implemented in two phases.

This is an integrated project involving cultivation of Jatropha and then subsequent biodiesel production by transesterification. The proposed capacity of the plant is 30000 litres of biodiesel per day.

The cultivation is to be done in 10000 hectares of land which involves leasing of government wasteland and buy back of seeds through contractual farming throughout Gujarat State.
